We’re excited to announce a new chapter in the ministry God has entrusted to us. After months of planning and hard work, Higher Place Ministries is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! We are so excited about this milestone because it will help us develop more resources, books, training materials, and ministry opportunities to spread the Gospel and help people devote themselves to Word, Worship, Fellowship, and Prayer (Acts 2:42).

Over the last year, the Lord led us to take this step as demand for our books and resources has grown and new opportunities have emerged to minister to and equip the Body of Christ. We needed a way to channel the resources we’ve been developing and make it easier for others to partner with us. We’re excited to work alongside each of you and see the continuing fulfillment of the vision God placed in our hearts years ago.

And it will be said:

“Build up, build up, prepare the road!

Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.”

For this is what the high and exalted One says—

he who lives forever, whose name is holy:

“I live in a high and holy place,

but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,

to revive the spirit of the lowly

and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

Isaiah 57:14-15

Our core vision is to build up, prepare the way, and remove obstacles for believers with practical discipleship and ministry resources rooted in Scripture and centered on Christ. Through books, courses, podcasts, coaching, and live ministry events, we hope to strengthen believers and churches for generations to come.

What does this change mean?

Scott will continue his primary work as Senior Pastor of Liberty Christian Fellowship, just as he has for the last 15 years. Liberty is our primary calling and our covering. Launching Higher Place Ministries as a nonprofit will help us extend our reach beyond the local church with the books and resources we develop. Our nonprofit status opens doors to new resources, ministry partnerships, and opportunities for you to partner with us!

Scott has published 4 books, a children’s book, and several guided journals. His latest book, Welcome Home, just launched this month, with a companion workbook currently in development! We publish a monthly eNewsletter and maintain a regular blog on our Substackpage. We’re also developing several podcasts, classes, and video resources. Scott and Lisa will continue to be available to minister for a number of dates each year outside of the local church.

How can you be a part?

First, prayer is the most important way you can partner with us! In the devotional My Utmost for His Highest, Oswald Chambers is quoted as saying, “Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; it is the greater work.” One of our elders at Liberty Christian Fellowship has said, “There are things in the universe that happen that otherwise would not because of prayer.” Please join us in praying for what God wants to do in and through Higher Place Ministries.

Second, we’d love for you to read Scott’s books and pass them along to others. If our resources encourage or bless you, please share them! Third, you can partner with us financially. Since Scott’s first book in 2018, The More Excellent Way, we’ve worked hard to self-fund these projects. Now, with your financial partnership, we can create new resources and reach more people as we spread the Gospel, encourage the Body of Christ, and help others grow in their devotion to Word, Worship, Fellowship, and Prayer. We have several exciting projects planned over the next two years—including books, workbooks, launching podcasts, and training courses that will have great Kingdom impact—and your support can help make them possible.

Part of our vision for 2026 is to ramp up making resources available to ecnourage and build up the local church. Our heart is for people to become more devoted to God’s Word, Worship, Fellowship with one another and with God, and to Prayer. We have begun posting teaching on our Youtube channel with much more to come as well as posting more often to other social platforms. Some of what we will post will be from our church, Liberty Christian Fellowship. We will have other videos and a podcast coming this year. My latest book Welcome Home should be ready and released in the coming month or so and there are plans for more written content. We have been hard at work on a number of things here for Higher Place Ministries. Over the last number of months, Scott has published a little book called A Conversation with God as well as a Guided Prayer Journal. Both of these along with all of Scott’s books are available at Amazon.com. We have also been revamping our website to better suit the direction we are taking the ministry for the coming season. Scott’s upcoming book, Welcome Home, will be out in the coming month so and we will be retooling our Youtube Channel to provide teaching, training, and resources. Please be in prayer for us as we are seeking to be an encouragement to the local church in her mission of spreading the Good News of Jesus and to encourage believers into deeper intimacy with Him!
