Scott Hobbs has been in full time ministry for over 30 years and in worship ministry for over 29 years. With a heart to see people encounter the freedom and abundant life through love of the Father, Scott and Lisa minister through passionate worship, music, teaching, writing and the creative arts.
Scott and his wife, Lisa, are both graduates of Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA with a Bachelors of Science in Christian Ministries. They founded Higher Place Ministries in 1994. They also helped plant and serve at Maranatha Christian Fellowship in Wilmington, NC where Scott served as the youth and worship pastor and Lisa as the children’s ministry and worship arts director for seven years. Scott served as the Worship Arts Pastor at Eagle’s Nest Fellowship in Milton, DE from 2006-2010. Scott currently serves as the sernior pastor of Liberty Christian Fellowship in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Today, Scott and Lisa minister in their local congregation, speak and lead woship conferences and events, and produce resources to encourage and equip the body of Christ. Scott’s first book, The More Excellent Way, was published in 2018 and has been an encouragement to many as a devotional as well as small group material in local churches.
